From October 23 to 25, 2012 the Eclipse Foundation will hold the 6th edition of the annual European Eclipse Conference.
EclipseCon Europe is all about community – learning, exploring, sharing and collaborating on the latest ideas and information about Eclipse. Contributors, adopters, extenders, service providers, consumer, business and research organizations alike, gather to share their expertise and learn from each other.
Networking activities lead to synergies in the community, from giving and receiving help on specific technical issues to generating new business opportunities. Sponsors of Eclipse Summit are an integral part of the entire event, participating in an exchange from all areas of their organizations from technical to management.
Last year we celebrated Eclipse’s 10th anniversary together with more than 550 attendees at EclipseCon Europe. This year the conference theme is open innovation: how enterprises, researchers and other organizations use Eclipse to develop innovative products and solutions.
We are also co-hosting the European OSGi community event and are extending a special welcome to the International OSGi community. And, again we are proud to have a solid technical program, but we won’t just be networking and listening to technical talks. Let us surprise you with our evening program! Details will be published in the early part of October.
For more information, please visit the conference website http://www.eclipsecon.org.
To celebrate the release of the new Eclipse version 3.7 aka ‘Indigo’, Toulibre and Toulouse JUG invite everyone to join their afternoon Eclipsecamp, loaded with conferences and demos. The event is planned for June, 23 2011, between 13:00 and 20:00 in Toulouse.
The conferences are animated by multiple high profiles in the french open-source world, like Benjamin Cabé (committer on the PDE projects e4 and Koneki), Simon Chemouil (committer on e4), Etienne Juliot (Eclipse Foundation board member), Gaétan Morice (committer on Koneki), and more.
Two tracks are running in parallel and the event is concluded with a drink where you can chat with the referees. All talks are hold in French and the place to be is ENSEEIHT, 2 rue Charles Camichel à Toulouse (Métro Ligne B – François Verdier).
Some catch words about the program: Topcased, Osgi, RCP, EMF, EEF, SWTBot, Koneki, Orion, EGit and much more. Curious? Then visit the event web site at http://toulibre.org/eclipseparty.
The event is free thanks to the sponsors: Artal, CS, Obeo and OpCoach.

We would like to invite you all to our next Brussels JUG session planned for the 28th of April 2011.
The event is kind of special! We do not only have the honor to receive Alexis Moussine-Pouchkine speaking about Java EE 6, GlassFish 3 and OSGi, but we do also celebrate the 1st anniversary of the Brussels JUG.
Most of you certainly know Alexis. He is a member of the GlassFish team and has been acting as the ambassador for the project for the past couple of years. He has been working at Oracle (Sun Microsystems) for over 10 years and is a regular speaker at development and JUG conferences such as Devoxx, JCertif, JavaOne or JavaZone. He also spends quality time with customers, developers, and architects to better drive the evolution of Oracle middleware technologies. Alexis also participates in various open source communities.
The conference place is not yet defined, but it will most likely be again in the center of Brussels (more infos soon).
We start at 19 o’clock – on time, since we will hear another technical 30 min speech about Continuous build on steroids by Chris Gruwier and Tom Vleminckx. Some happy birthday gadgets will be given away and as usual we will meet for a 3rd half-time in a nice bar after the conference. Feel invited to join us.
